good times
good times
no, seriously! we had a great time meeting cousins on my dad's side and just hanging out. but we are certainly glad to be home. and we are staying put for quite awhile. no road trips....for at least a month. *grin*
after the beach, then dallas, my kids are sick of the car.
so here's a little update on what's been hapennin' 'roud these parts:
* i'm watching tennis....shocker, i know.
* i have a sewing project that is sitting untouched, waiting for some love. i hope to post pics this week...it's a gift and long, long overdue.
* since returning home from the beach i've become refocused on decorating the ole pad. i went thru a dry spell, no focus, no interest, blah blah blah. but i'm back, baby. and my man gave me a nice little august budget...which i expect to have spent by august 2nd. *wink*wink*
* i've been on pinterest for quite some time, but was never very active. that has all changed.
* i'm currently looking for a pinterst addict's support group.
* i'm working on 2 very large walls in my house, one over the couch in the living room and one over the couch in the family room. that's my project for august. hopefully i'll be able to post before/after pics soon! sooner than soon!!!
* breaking records from 1934, we're in the midst of a heat wave and drought here in the great state of arkansas. please pray for rain. and cooler temps. i love the heat, but too many people are struggling in this.
* i'm also on a big organizational kick. closets, beware. i hit the container store in dallas....love that place....and oohed and ahhed over everything. i bought little. but came home with some ideas. same story for ikea. i get overwhelmed there. but so love it.
* and by far my favorite pic of the week from pinterest.......ok, wait....i have 2 favorites of the week. ok, i have way more than 2....but i'll share 2. bestill my heart with these colors. i'm just tellin' ya....have mercy.
little too much blue for me, but love...... would have to repaint the chest...but again, love.
and my fave....drum roll please.....
again, not a fan of the "beach theme" with the sea horse, sea stars, etc. but love this color combo!!!!
well, kiddos, that's all i got. enjoy your sunday. hope you've got one fantastic summer week planned! we're gonna lay low for a couple of days....throwing in some swimming, cleaning, sewing, organizing....that kinda stuff.
summer break for us is coming to a close.
and i am one very unhappy camper about it. *sigh*
