tennis, hairy eyebrows {& other random stuff}

* after school we ran to my parents' house .  while having a deep philosophical discussion with my dad *giggle* i hear my number one son yell from the bathroom, "no, it's ok nana.  i can wipe my own butt now!!"  {sigh} we ooze such class at the house of M.

* here lately i've been hearing from people "it must be so fun at your house!"  i don't know why they say this.  perhaps it's b/c the princess bops around everywhere to a tune in her own head.  or perhaps it's the endless amount of crafting supplies.  or the air guitars {or banjos, depending on which venue} we all strum.  or me yelling once again that flip flops are all over the family room.  or my temper tantrum b/c bath toys didn't get picked up...again.  or the sticky floors in the kitchen.  i have no idea.  but i heard it again today.  and it makes me smile.

* i just had to put an alert on my phone to remind me to call for an eyebrow wax tomorrow.  is that sad?  that i can't remember something that simple?  it's been oh so long since i've gone.  i wish it were easier to make an appt.  like, ONLINE.  if you're reading this jen.....see what you can do about that.  oh, and also -- just to prep you -- get out the weedwhacker, some lawn & garden trash bags, and a fresh pot of wax -- and back-up wax.  it ain't gonna be pretty.

* i'm watching tennis.  the us open.  the second set is almost finished, and djokovic is leading.  the other player, berlocq, has yet to even score.  the crowd is beginning to root for him.

* do you tire of my tennis talk?  cuz it's about to get worse.  i start lessons next week.  it's been so long since i've played.  on the phone with the tennis pro this week she asked me, "how long has it been since you played?"  my response:  "noneya bid'ness...that's how long."

* i went to target today.  and blew half my shopping budget for the month.  the baby girl fall clothes are out.  'nuff said.  i got other stuff too....but the pillows i brought home did NOT work at all.  all will be returned tomorrow...adding back to that budget.  *wink*

* bruiser made it   ALL DAY   today without crying.  and get this -- he ate lunch!  yes, we're 2 weeks into school and he hasn't eaten a thing outta his lunchbox yet.  brings it straight home and devours it.  i'd tell you here that he also doesn't eat breakfast, but i'm afraid you'd think less of me as a mother.  *wink*  he also got a stamp out of the treasure box.  see?

* yes, that's MY arm.  yes, i have seriously hairy arms.  yes, i'm a girl.  nooo, i do not care.

* you are = you're; your = possessive form of you; it is NOT "rather then," it is "rather than;" it is = it's; its = possessive form of it; it is NOT Sarah & I's, it is mine & Sarah's; to = preposition, used in many situations; too= adverb, used primarily to mean in addition to or as an affirmative, or to mean extremely or very.

* does grammatical accuracy make me a snob?  i'm too upset with all the mistakes i see.  i'm out to change the world!  {did you see what i did right there?  to?  too?  get it??}

* parents, educators, i implore you....please teach your children the difference.  or i will come to your house -- with my red pen -- and teach them for you.

* napkin artwork.  it's what's for lunch.  ha.  everyday my boys get a new napkin piece of art.  and they never know what it's going to be.  truly, it's the simple things in life.

* i had a lunch date with my man today.  i even threw on some tinted moisturizer this morning.  i've shared before that i don't wear makeup in the summer, right?  anyway, tonight while washing my face i realized i never put on mascara.  meaning i had tinted moisturizer on my lashes...all day...which explains why any time i caught a glimpse of myself i kept thinking, "wow....i used to think this moisturizer looked better on me."  but no worries....my man likes me better without makeup.  i married the cream of the crop.

* the lego magazine came this week.  there was lots of drool.

* and that is one seriously long bullet point post.  my apologies.   happy friday, y'all.
