the swag at craft weekend was awesome.  seriously awesome.

i'm sitting here -- after being up all night with one sick kid -- assisting sick kid numero dos.....yes, i know what you're thinking....my kids are sick AGAIN.....

so i decided to post a little on the haul we came home with from the ever-so-awesome craft weekend....just remember, i'm not much of a photographer. *ahem*

here's the thing.....this is my jewelry.....um, area.  no clue what to call it.  this is where i stash some of my jewelry.  see the little silver square?  that was part of the swag.  i noticed a few days ago that this necklace was turned to the be still side.  a message i need everyday.  a message i've been seeing every morning as i start my day, brushing my teeth, every hand washing..... love. that.

the other side is this precious little birdie.  when i was prego with doh doh i claimed the bob marley song "3 little birds" as my pregnancy song.  so i'm digging the birdie.

it's kind of weird looking at my own jewelry this way.  i didn't stage anything.  what you see is what you get.  i see a brass key plate that goes to a trunk.  hilarious.  so no, i don't wear that as jewelry.  although.....sure would make a cute necklace.  hmm.

my new friend -- and fellow weekend crafter -- keri made this awesome little burlap piece.  she put cork inside an embroidery hoop, then covered with burlap.  and then she stamped our first initial on all of them!  she has a tutorial on her blog.  and i plan on making more of these for my laundry room (aka grand central station) for important school papers.  my bulletin board overfloweth already.

this lovely piece is from another lovely lady (also a cali girl like keri!!) named crystal.  she and keri put us all to shame for bringing crafty gifts.  i've told the story before, but day 2 of crafting together i finally figured out that crystal's store is in my favorites on etsy.  hilarious.  small world??

i should include a picture of me actually wearing these lovelies from lisa and crystal, BUT i've played tennis almost every day this week.  thursday it rained.  oh, and i was cleaning up vomit. *sigh*

let me just say......i haven't used mine yet.  of course, most of my swag is sitting in my closet waiting for some attention.  prints need frames......you know the drill.  but that's not the reason my little gadget bag hasn't seen any love from me.  it probably never will get my lovin'.

it has been confiscated.  by this cute little lady.

and i know doh doh is thinking, elisalou i love you.  and, mom, you'll never see this again. ever.   or as she actually says, doh doh mine.  *grin*

by the way, she doesn't have odd circular markings on her forehead.  that's just part of the fabulousness of the hipstamatic app.  best. app. ever.  next to angry birds, of course.

on a more personal note, please pray for us.  we've lived in our new house for exactly 1 year.  in that year we've yet to go 1 month without sickness.  we're tired.  we're discouraged.  we're wondering what in the world is going on.  i know it's really my kids' ages...but it still seems bizarre.  i'm just praying over all of us!
