do you ever wonder.....

....what would happen if you didn't intervene when your children are fighting?

i was moments away from blogging about how well my kids are getting along today.  despite the fact that we're stuck at home with no car.

and yet, moments later there was yelling.  the really loud kind.  the kind that is meant to get the parent's attention.  as well as the sibling being yelled at.

i ignored it.

i often ignore it.  i want my kids to learn to solve their own disputes.  but clearly we're not there yet.  because the yelling started again.

this time i intervened before someone was lying on the ground writhing in agony and i currently have 2 boys in separate rooms having some quality quiet time.

{sigh}

they really get along so well.  but the fighting is rough most days.  in fact, my man recently asked if it was really necessary for us to do something 3-4 days out of the week this summer.

of course, after just a couple days of vacation he realized the need to do something 3-4 days a week this summer.  {wink}

they look like super good friends right there, right?!?!?  calm before the storm, i assure you.

but they sure are cute.  right?!?!

and now my child who left his room to use the restroom just 3 minutes ago is now claiming he needs to do a bigger bathroom job.  i've refused him.  and he's claiming he can't hold it.  {sigh}
