be thankful that today is a pictureless post.

because not even google had one good enough for my day today.

this afternoon i met with a new doctor to discuss the cyst i had above my upper lip.  i've had it for over 8 years.  honestly, i wasn't really vain enough to do anything about it.

before you give me kudos on my lack of vanity, a plastic surgeon once told me removing it could possibly paralyze my face.

enter vanity:  stage left.

i recently noticed that the cyst was getting bigger.  enter new doctor:  stage right.

i immediately loved her.  she was perky.  cute.  and oh-so well groomed.  (is it weird to like that in a dr?)  she said it needed to be removed.  and she wanted to do it now.

I'll spare you the rest of the story.  but has anyone seen first wives club?  remember goldie hawn's lips after collagen injections?  oh yeah, baby.   that's me.  i tried to find a pic of that to share, but alas i could not find one.

and i refuse to show you my personal puffy, painful, hugely swollen boo-boo.

i called my man to share with him my agony.  i've had 2 outta 3 babies with zip-zero meds.  but my lip hurt and i wanted sympathy.  when i told him how horrendous i looked and that my stitches had to be removed next week, he calmy responded.....

"what about my christmas party this weekend?"

oh vanity, thou art cruel.
