what i did on my summer vacation

today we took the day off from summer activities.

we stayed home.  all day.  and i cleaned.  and i organized.  (stop snickering.  i'm serious.  i organized as well as my organizationally-challenged brain would allow.)

awhile back we were trying to make decisions, decisions.  do we split the boys up?  or continue having them share a room?  that was the question.  or questions.  whatever.  several of you gave splendid feedback.  i appreciate it.

eventually we decided to keep them together.  mainly b/c during the decision process, one brother slept with doh doh and one brother was alone in their room.  and miserable.  and scared.  

plus, they liked the alternative better:

their very own reading nook.

a space when one needs a little private time (read:  bubba).

excuse the bad phone pictures.  and doh doh's head whizzing by.  i promise better pictures after we get all settled in.

alas, i lost my craft room.  i moved all my crafting stuff out of the shared play/craft room.  i now have a crafting closet.  {sigh}  that's fine.  it's what i get for buying a house i fell in love with but didn't quite meet every foolish desire want.  {wink}

so another check off my  Summer Cleaning Bucket List !  wooooot!!!

the boys are going camping this week with my parents.  so now all my crap crafting stuff that has invaded my dining room has to be sorted, organized, and put in the closet.

i know that has some of you organizational folks drooling.  

and i assure you, i won't be offended if you show up at my door with your label maker.
