reading list

it has not been a good week for blogging.  bruiser has bronchitis.  i thought doh doh did too, but she's in the clear.  i've slept little, held some cuties a lot, and driven to dr's appointments, the pharmacy...twice b/c the first medication made bruiser hurl...and done some super sweet snuggling.

i've worked little on our family room wall, but i do promise a reveal is coming soon.  and i think i'm gonna love it.

so, what's everyone reading?  i'm desperate for a good british period romance.  so i'm open for suggestions.

right now i'm reading this.

we started a bible study on this at church yesterday.  i've read about half of the book so far and it's good.  it is one of those rare moments when thoughts i've already had have been put directly in front of me on paper.  in a nutshell, the book's about craving God more than we crave anything else, primarily food.  an interesting read.

i recently finished reading this.

i so love julie klassen.  if you've never read her, do it.  do it now.  her first book was phenomenal.  this latest was excellent as well, but {dare i say it???} i think her others are better.  but this one is still worth the read.

of course, jane austen is a favorite author.  if you have any to recommend who are like the fabulous miss jane, please do advise.

my all time favorite author, i know i've shared before, is one deliciously amazing lucy maud montgomery.  classic.  timeless.

have you read lawanna blackwell?  think modern day jane austen.  well, kinda.  love her stuff.  but there's not much.  in fact, i ended up buying out of print books on ebay a few years ago.  but i highly highly recommend her.  her gresham series is oh so good.

you will become addicted, i assure you.

i love christian historical fiction as long as it is well-written.  i've been known to stop reading a book after 2 paragraphs if the writing is horrific.  anybody else???  no????

ok, so anyone have suggestions?  what are you reading?

my anniversary is monday.  13 years.  unbelievable.  also unbelievable that my parents allowed me to marry at 16. teehee.  teehee.  ahem.

so tonight we celebrate.  no kiddos.  no time restraints.  and no plans.  is that bad?  we have no idea what to do or where to go.  honestly, we've been so busy lately that i just kinda wanna stay home.  or go to the beach.  the beach sounds delightful, does it not?

ok, perhaps i shouldn't read any more historical fiction.  sheesh.
