happy friday, y'all

it's friday.  y'all ready?

today and tomorrow i'm cooking and cleaning up a storm.  our home group is coming for dinner saturday night.  and i gots me lots to do. 

so for today you get a week's recap and a look at next week's posts.

* my mother came over yesterday afternoon.  she told me bubba had informed her i had been cleaning BIG TIME.  she surveyed my house, then looked at me.  ahem.  i pointed her to the two spotless rooms.  all the while thinking, "Sorry the house is a mess.  The kids are making memories."

* tuesday was one glorious day.  i completely cleaned out our playroom & the boys' closet.  it. felt. so. good.  i loved every minute of it...and didn't stop until about 8 that night.  it was glorious.  no joke.

i know it looks like i all i did was pick up the floor.  but i promise a lot happened! i have a stack that is going up to the attic, some clothes that were given away, and a garbage bag full that got chunked.  yeehaw.

* our family room wall is almost complete and i'm so excited to show you.  i've been waiting on one last item to arrive from an etsy seller.  usps came yesterday....we weren't home...i have to pick it up today.  why can't they just leave it on the door?  like ups & fed ex???  and, while i'm complaining, i ordered 3 things the same day:  fed ex & ups came at the beginning of the week.  usps came yesterday (which i now have to pick up...in the rain), but was the first shipped by the seller.  {sigh}

* i had a sweet reader ask me for my laundry detergent recipe.  i'm doing a post on that next week as well.  sorry it has taken so long, but it's a new one for me and I wanted to be able to test it & give my review.

* last thing.  just to give you a little giggle for your friday.  this is a conversation between my man and me.  my friend michelle told me this tidbit of info.  apparently her husband already knew, but failed to tell her.  she found out and informed me.  being the good wife that i am, i passed along this helpful information.  welcome to my world.  sorry, ladies.  he's taken.  {snort out loud}

* and now i'm off to the grocery store.  and target.  and lowe's.  and the boys' school.  and let's not forget the post office.
