where have i been?

good.  grief.  where have i been?  i know.  i know.

so here's the scoop:

* wednesday's colonoscopy was fine.  as suspected, the dr found absolutely nothing.  {hallelujah.}  thanks for praying and thanks for all the comments, emails, etc.  i was nervous and it all turned out a-ok!

* i missed a lot of sleep last week, including the night before the procedure.  the rest of the week i was in a total daze....hence the main reason i didn't blog.

* this weekend i played in a tennis tournament.  moving on...... {ahem}

* tonight my tennis league starts.  here's hoping league goes better than the tournament.  {sigh} at least it's a doubles league.  i played singles over the weekend...which i prefer...but still played horribly. MOVING ON!!!!!

* i have a little lady in her bed who is supposed to be sleeping.  instead i'm hearing lots of jabbering and giggling.  no clue what's going on in there.

* today i've done laundry, balanced the checkbook, figured out where i am budget-wise for the month {my man says i never check the budget, but i do!!!!}, stripped sheets off beds, and blah blah blah.  i'm beginning to love mondays.  they're slower than the rest of the days.

* doh doh's vocabulary has rocketed.  it is unbelievable all the words this little lady is saying.  and it's just so fun.  my man said this morning she is just days away from holding a full-length conversation....and it's hilarious to think about.

* i'm struggling with being competitive on the tennis court.  anyone ever had an issue like this?  after years of "just being a mom" that competitive spirit has disappeared.  now i suddenly need it back to win matches.  it's an odd feeling.

* we had our small group here at our house again last night.  we had a great time and we love having everyone over.  and it has re-motivated me {didn't i say this last time?} to finish decorating my house.  time is the main issue....... but with cooler temps coming, just maybe i'll have some time to finish some stuff.  at least i'm keeping my fingers crossed......

that's all i've got today.  laundry is beckoning me.  as is last week's episode of biggest loser.  i watch while i fold clothes.  anyone watching this season?  any project runway fans out there???  anyone else feel like the talent this season isn't as good?  just me?
