i know no one is surprised by this. but it's true. i did well at the beginning of the summer. but july was vacation month. so i'm just now getting back to it.
a couple saturdays ago i worked all day in my girl's room. cleaning, sorting, organizing, pitching, donating....the others were swimming and i was
but it sure felt good. and doh doh was thrilled when she walked into her room! i asked her later if she liked it. she said, "yeah, i did. did you see me? i was wookin' wike dis." and then she opened her mouth and stared around in awe. complete with arm movements.
i about wet myself. and i keep telling the story. so pardon me if you hear it again. it's better told in person anyway.
the mirror was a hideous brown color that i spray painted white. it was left here when we moved in. i need to add more hooks and a few other little things, but it turned out super cute. it holds a lot of her dress up stuff.
the chalkboard which DESPERATELY needs a new coat of paint b/c i can barely write anything on it, says I SPY SOMETHING CUTE! bruiser loves to play I Spy, and this is what Daddy always says to Doh Doh. then she yells, IT'S ME!!!!
it's so obvious she has brothers.
i love having her closet cleaned out. it was such a mess most of the summer, and was on the top of my list to get done. i even cleaned out her chest of drawers, organizing all her socks and tights. ready for fall!
i even made room for hair stuff!!!
i'm not an organized person, as i've stated so many times i'm sick of hearing it myself. but actually, i can organize. if i think about it and have all the stuff i need to pull it off. it's staying organized that i struggle with. but i'm happy to report her room and closet still are totally picked up, organized, and clean! in fact, all my summer organizing projects thus far have stayed that way.
perhaps i'm turning a new leaf........ well, you saw my monday post. perhaps not.
