so here i sit....at church. for our monthly FYI. today was bring your own craft day. i chose blogging. 'cause yeah, it's been awhile.
i leave tomorrow morning for little rock for state competition with my tennis team. trying to get everybody settled, food in the house, laundry done, schedules coordinated, food in the house, laundry....i know... you get me on this. sigh.
but right now, i'm blogging. and
ok, on to pics i haven't shared yet. we'll start with bubba.
this summer my boy played baseball for the first time. around here, most kids start at 4 years old. we did not. no offense to those who do, but we like being home. it's very important to us. as they get older, we won't be able to do that with all the activities. so we've tried to keep a low profile until then.
(i'm at home now. i wasn't very productive at church. big surprise, right? i'm also drinking a coke now. and let me just tell you, it is so good. so very, very good. and it is so sad...so very, very sad how much i'm enjoying it. {wink} )
i love that little face! ahhh!! so sweet. bubba surprised us all this summer. he was a GREAT baseball player. all the kids on his team had played for years. his coaches were amazed this was his first year. he became their most dependable player. and that just about sums him up. {y'all, he's so sweet. love him!}
i think icees were the big reason he wanted to play.
somebody else liked baseball season too.
it was a great season. but we weren't sad for it to end. the last 2 games poor bubba just wasn't into it. in fact, in the last game i had to give a pep talk after a miserable first couple of innings. he needed a little reminder that his team was depending on him. he hit a double after that. {grin}
he even played pitcher a couple of times. although, i wasn't sad to see him return to center field. {any other mommas out there agree?!?!?!}
he says he doesn't want to play next year. but he was outside last night playing catch with Dad....and loving it. so we shall see.......
