in other words, he doesn't look like me.
in fact, when he was a baby, i got countless questions asking when i adopted him. in fact, i got a lot of odd comments. most of them were, he must look like his daddy.
yes. yes he does. but people say the oddest things. seriously.
anyway, my little Bruiser just melts my heart. i'm sure it's because he's my baby boy. but ever since the nurse first put him in my arms -- and his eye twinkled, and i saw that cleft in his chin, and that dimple -- OH MY.
i love this kid. and yes, i realize i've done back to back Bruiser posts. oh well. at least i'm blogging! {grin}
so the other day we scouted out Toys R Us for Christmas ideas.
bless his heart. but no. no. NO. his buddy has one. he's ridden it several times. but this kid isn't ready for this kind of responsibility. nope. nada. not gonna happen.
we had fun perusing the toy aisles. ok, the kids had fun. i had a migraine. and when it was all over, they still had no idea what they really want for Christmas. {a sign that they need NOTHING.}
we came home. we played outside. and then this.
Bruiser was in tears. so the story came from Bubba.
"well, somehow my knee found his eye."
uh-huh. yeah. somehow.
but oh my....he's still so cute.
************************
i have to add this....and of course it's not relevant to this story. of course. but Bubba is watching the cheesiest movie right now on the Hallmark Channel. oh my. i love Hallmark, basically b/c they show my Golden Girls. but right now they're only showing Christmas movies. and this one...oh, this one is hilarious. The National Tree. just showed them going thru a forest fire. in an 18-wheeler. the fire was oh-sooo realistic.
i hope you're picking up on the sarcasm. and the mockery.
