what a great assignment, right?!?
i'd love to say that one night we gathered around the table, while watching white christmas, drinking hot chocolate with peppermint sticks and marshmallows, and decorated said ornament. all while precious memories were made and documented on camera.
but that's just not how we always roll. amen?!?!
it was sunday night. our church home group had just left and we were frantically trying to feed and bathe kids. and prepare for school the next day. and Bubba opened his folder and found his homework assignment. {sigh}
it was late. but we all decorated a section. and yes, we shared some giggles. but it could've been cuter. sweeter. less rushed. but not every day is a Normal Rockwell moment. {ha}
everybody colored. i used fabric. and Daddy, our non-artistic Daddy, wrote Merry Christmas on his side. hilarious. at least he used crayon. i honestly thought he'd use his pen...the only pen he'll write with, mind you.
