so many books, so little time

i love to read.

a couple of weeks ago, my brother said in his sermon that he would've rather been at home because he prefers his "books to people."  

i found that somewhat funny b/c he's quite the people person.  {it's genetic.}  but there's so much truth to that statement.

i blame my mother.  she read to us when we were little.  {that's a golden girls quote, by the way! ha!}

we both love books.  and while most days you'll find me sitting on my deck, bottle of water in hand, deep into a historical fiction piece, i do love me some nonfiction too.

so here's what i'm reading, or just finished reading.

this is a very short and very good book by John MacArthur.  i read it in one evening.  very good & i definitely recommend it.

another great book, Just Do Something:  A Liberating Approach to Finding God's Will by Kevin DeYoung.  

I'm almost finished with this one and it's another keeper.  i recommend it...plus it'd also make a great gift for a college student.

ok, this next book is coming out next month.  and yes, this is some major "fluff" reading.  but oh, Julie Klassen is one of my favorite fiction authors!  i can hardly wait for this one!!  i'm surprised i haven't pre-ordered it yet.  maybe today.....

i bought it off iTunes the other day, totally random.  i loved her band chasing furies.  now she's on her own.  good stuff!!!  the title track is awesome.
