i have pictures. i promise.

i totally got busted for not having pictures in my last post.

so BL, i'm including pics.  just for you.  ::wink::

although, i'm not sure any will include my adorable children.  gasp, i know.

it's too gorgeous out.  i'm too busy planting, gardening, playing, sweating, playing, sweating.....  i'm trying hard to keep my house clean, picked up, still watch an occasional Golden Girls and spend as much time outside as possible.

that's just the kinda gal i am.

therefore, blogging has taken a backseat.  which is sad b/c i spend a lot of time writing posts in my head.  hilarious.

so here's what i've been working on lately.....my yard.  and deck.

we've had 4 landscapers come to give bids on the front yard.  they've all been extremely different:  different ideas, different prices, different timelines.  ugh.  so i've been spending time in the backyard.

my boys even created their very own gardens.  now seriously, how cute is that?

bruiser stayed home one day last week with a horrible cough and ear infection.  so we went flower shopping.  when bubba came home and saw bruiser's own garden, he had to get busy himself.  bubba's is pictured above...notice the details.  hilarious.

bruiser got a little help with details from his brother.  seriously, they crack me up.

it took forever, but i finally got my garden planted.  my dad & i had planned to do it before he left for africa, but that never happened.  because of water drainage issues (a main reason we're looking for a good landscaper), i have to cut my garden area in half.  since my dad has an idea...and i don't....i planted in only half my garden area.  maybe next year i'll have a huge space again.  {sigh}

my roses have exploded.  if i can just keep doh doh from picking off all the petals....

i have roses all over the house.

just this morning bubba came in tattling on doh doh.  he claimed she'd picked most of the petals off the roses in their bathroom.  hilarious.  i assured him they'd just fallen off.  doh doh was blameless.

this time.

i wish -- oh how i wish!!!  -- you could smell these roses.  oh for smell-a-vision, right?!?!?  or smell-a-blogger!!!!  ok, that actually sounds like you're supposed to smell me.  ahem.

i've totally bombarded you with pictures.  and none are of my seriously cute kids.  oh well.  that's what tomorrow's post is for.  so come back.  i'm trying to get back in the swing of blogging!

can you tell tennis season is almost over?!?!  i'm starting to find my life again!  ha!
