it's monday.
i have laundry going. and mountains and mountains of dirty clothes piled in the laundry room.
do you think eve still would've eaten that apple if she'd known laundry was involved? just a thought.
doh doh keeps asking to go bye-bye. i told her we're home all day to do laundry. she responded, "you funny, momma."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
saturday we went horseback riding. warning: lots of pictures ahead.
it was doh doh's first time. it won't be her last. she keeps asking me to go. apparently laundry isn't as thrilling as horses.
some friends live out on a farm. she gives riding lessons, which we might need to look into considering doh doh's excitement.
look at that face!!! she kept rolling her tongue side to side, a little nervous tick. hilarious.
bubba is a natural. an old pro at this point.
jeans? check. boots? check. hat? double check.
now he wants spurs.
i had my phone, but forgot my camera. thanks to denise for taking pictures!!!
little known fact about yours truly: growing up, i had horses. two. got my mare, a former barrel racer, for my 9th birthday.
a horse. and a new pair of nikes. it was a great birthday.
love that pic my man took. see that sky? awesome.
bruiser.....well, he wasn't as excited about the horses. we had to force him to ride.
we went from this....
to this....
to this.....
then this.....
and eventually this....
bottom line??? he loved it.
my dad's a natural. {he grew up on a farm.} i really think my 9th birthday present was more for him than me. and i'm ok with that.
i'm so thankful for these photos. i had a wedding that afternoon so i had to leave early. but my friend captured them all. special moments i would've missed!!
i'm a country girl at heart. looks like at least 2 of mine feel the same way. none were excited about driving back to the city. i concur.
ready for one of my favorite pics? if you know my dad, this is just him.
not sure exactly what it is, but i love that pic. the hat, the grin, the corral.....i think i'm gonna frame it.
now if i could just talk my man into moving to the country. *sigh*
hope y'all had as awesome a weekend as we did. in all honesty, despite the tons of laundry i have, i'm glad it's monday. i need a rest.
have a great week, ya'll!!!
