this morning it started raining. we were planning a pool party...lots of friends, cousins, swim basketball, food, water guns, crazy jumps...well, you get the idea.
my boys are still in their swimsuits. that's right. they were already dressed this morning before the rain started. as you can imagine, they were brokenhearted. i should probably say devastated. it was rough. but summer has only just begun.
i can't stop singing "she wore an itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini!"
however.......my sweet, sweet Bubba informed me i sounded like nana (my mom) while singing that song. {sigh} i tried to stop. but seeing her in that suit makes me want to belt it out.
so instead of swimming, they worked out with me at the gym. my friend was doing a workout with her daughter. she snapped this picture with her ipad and then emailed it to me. everyone in the gym got quite a laugh at my girl doing "lunges" with me.
even funnier was when i said it was time to lunge and my kiddos cheered. apparently, lunge and lunch sound an awful lot alike.
i hope y'all are off to a great summer!!! i'm off to start dinner. we're having sheer {rainy day} comfort food tonight......italian style green beans, crusty french rolls, our favorite potatoes, greek salad, and this tilapia. wow. i just realized something....italian, french, greek...wow. just....wow. 4 nationalities, 2 continents represented in one meal. yummmm.
