we're an outdoorsy lot. so my parents were taking my kids and my brother's kids camping. doh doh and i were going to join them for part (or all, depending on how the princess did) of the trip.
unfortunately, we never made it.
so instead we all hung out at my house.
by the way, it's very expensive feeding 6 kids. did you know that? {wow.} ::snort out loud::
we played ball. we filled rain barrels. we sailed boats down the stream. we road plasma cars. we got drenched.
we've had a blast.
i'm super thankful for cousins. cousins who love their little cousins so much they act like little kids again, not caring what others think.
i'm also thankful for neighbors who don't care if we use their driveways. or take over the culdesac. ahem.
wednesday my mom took all the kids. they spent more time playing in the rain. more basketball, more big wheel riding, more filling buckets, more wet clothes.
they made snickerdoodles. (my grandmother's famous recipe.) bruiser threw a fit. he didn't want snickerNoodles. he didn't want to eat the noodles. hi-larious. my mother assured him they were just regular cookies. no noodles. period.
he ate more than anybody else.
highlight of Camp Nana: they spent the night in the attic. my boys were beyond thrilled.
and bubba keeps bragging that he stayed up until 10:30. 10:30?!?!?! {wow.}
and believe me, i'm paying for that. they're exhausted.
but what a super great spring break. i love it that my kids can just roll with the punches. they didn't throw fits. they didn't pout. ok, so they were a bit melancholy for awhile. but ruined camping trip aside, we've had a great week. i love that about my kids.
confession: i'm not very patient {ahem} with folks who can't roll with it. sorry.
i just love spring.
don't you????

Looks like so much fun. Love all the pics!!
