usually my days just fly by. and i hate it. but this week has gone by slowly. it's been packed with activities...but long. {and i've secretly loved it.}
tonight i'm........
watching...biggest loser. weigh in. anybody else love this show? anybody else hate the drama? just work out! just weigh in! i know....i'm not a reality tv fan.
feeling...irritable. my special friend who visits every month is almost here. i've been trying to prep for her arrival. i get awfully tuckered out.
pondering...if i handled a parenting situation earlier correctly. {sigh}
excited...to have lunch with my boys tomorrow. is it horrible that when they asked me i was so excited i didn't have to pack lunches tonight?!?!?!
eating...well, ate. tonight we ate crockpot turkey, roasted cauliflower, corn on the cob, & rolls. every time i eat cauliflower i think about when i was 5 years old & we backpacked through europe. we picked up foods from the markets: baguette, cheese, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, fruits....then ate on the train, or at a park, wherever. i loved it. this was the trip where we first discovered NUTELLA.
listening...to my husband talk to himself. {giggle} 13 years of marriage and i still crack up.
wondering...if any of you make turkey in the crockpot? it's so easy! grab a frozen turkey breast, the kind that comes with a gravy packet, toss it in the crockpot. pour gravy on top. you can put it in thawed or frozen. this morning it was mostly thawed. i turn it every so often to keep it in the gravy. all the menfolk at my house love it. try it.
giggling...at my man who keeps bringing in the ipad to show me pictures of food from restaurants in Sonoma/Napa Valley. we're planning our first ever {since having children} adult getaway sans les petites enfants. ok, wait...."adult" makes it sound....um, well, adult. i just meant no kiddos. ;)
snorting out loud...b/c i just told my man he shouldn't show a dieting fat girl pictures like that. {food porn.}
praying...for a sweet friend in the initial baby steps of international adoption. {love}
proud...of my boys. bubba continues to read well beyond his grade level, increasing again this past 9-weeks. bruiser prayed twice tonight for one of the baby eagles who died. his class has been monitoring an eagles nest this year.
thankful for...believing teachers in our public schools. we believe our boys to be lights in the darkness at their school. and my bruiser shared his faith today to his classmates by announcing he was praying for baby eagles. anybody else tearing up? ahh, the innocence. love. that. kid. and i loved that his teacher shared this with me.
now watching...golden girls. what else????
