winter cleaning

so, i'm still not back into a blogging routine.  i'm still not back into the swing of reading blogs either.  i'm behind.

but i have been in a cleaning mood.  and when those strike me...well, i just gotta go with it.

the weather here has been like spring....70 degrees the other day, and almost all week in the upper 60s.  heck to the yes.  so in between shooting hoops, riding bikes, taking walks, swinging, and nerf gun fights i've been cleaning out closets.

on saturday i finished my closet, doh doh's closet, doh doh's room, the playroom, and the boys' closet.  yes, i am was mighty proud of myself.

so here's a little peek at my work. 

we have a big master closet.  lots of shelves.  unfortunately all the rubbermaid containers were....well....ugly.  so i moved around, tried to add some pretties, and i'm still searching for containers i like to replace the hideousness of my super practical rubbermaid. *grin*

i'm also still on the search for a mirror.  the table i have in here is actually the cabinet for my sewing machine.  i can't part with it....it was my grandmother's.  i'm a sentimental sap, i know.

pictures. pictures.  and more to come.  love pictures of my kiddos.  i also have this picture of my cousins and me.  and one of my niece & nephew with me on my wedding day.  sweetness.

and a painting by my grandfather.  ahhhhh.

is it weird that i just want to stand in my closet?  and soak it all in?

i finally found some bedding for doh doh's big girl bed.

i'm so in love.  i haven't done anything above the bed yet. 

so disregard that.  m'kay???

we've been here almost a year and a half.  and i feel like things are finally coming together.  in fact, i hope to finish our family room this month.  and hopefully doh doh's space above her bed.

yay.

i'm excited!!!!!!!!!

i'm also on the look for carpet, wood floors, and new blinds/plantation shutters.  it exhausts me to think about all that. 

for now, i'm going back to my closet to admire my work.
